True Nature And Personality Of The Creature Frankenstein English Literature Essay The creature experiences many rejections from society, the first time he was rejected was by his own creator himself, he was then rejected a second time in the forest where he meets a peasant or when he enter the villagers and the children shrieked, and one of the women fainted or when he tries to save a girl from drowning the villages throw rocks at him(I had saved a human being from destruction, and, as recompense, I now writhed under the miserable pain of a wound, which shattered the flesh and bone. . It seems that the creature destiny is to be lonely and guilty due to his appearance and to the death he has caused. The creature prefers to stay away from people because everyone he met either attacked him or fled away. The monster discovers throw his reflection that is was ugly and understands the reaction of the human. Quote. The monster admires the De lacey family, as he does not have one. It feels the need to have a family, he sees how the Felix fiancà © got accepted in the fami ly and how Felix taught her to read .Furthermore the creature is impressed of the familys benevolent act for saving Safies father from prison from a death sentence. The creature in his turn feels that he can do the same, that why he voluntarily helps the family. At the beginning the creature had had a good heart and was prepared to help human beings. The creature anonymously help the family as this makes him feel good. The monster learnt reading and music through the De Lacy family; he noticed that it made the family more happy and cheerful. Music and reading also stimulates the creatures emotional reaction to happiness. The creature attempts to communicate with Mr. de lacy; the blind man. The creature after so many rejections still accepts to help human being-the source of his unhappiness. After saving the girl from drowning, her father attacks the creature thinking that he was harming his daughter. The creature caused fright to a few of the villagers and they threw some sort of missiles. The creature wants Frankenstein to create a female for him as it does not want to live his life alone. The creature swears to hide in the Amazon forest away from society with his mate. He also promises not to harm anyone else. You must create a female for me with whom I can live in the interchange of those sympathies necessary for my being. This you alone can do and I demand it of you as a right which you must not refuse to concede. Later on Frankenstein decides to tear apart the female monster as a result of guilt. he believes that by creating a female creature, he would be procreating a new species if the two mated together, Frankenstein also is not so sure how the female would react as just like the original monster she would be independent. Frankenstein decides to destroys the creatures last hopes of having a companion and not be in a painful solitude. You have destroyed the work which you beganà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦I have endured incalculable fatigue, and cold, and hunger; do you dare destroy my hopes? The creature vows to take revenge on Frankenstein for destroying his last hopes. The creature decides to kill the loved ones of his creator so that in the end Frankenstein becomes as miserable as the creature. Frankenstein feels responsible and guilty for the death of his beloved ones, as he is the one whogave birth to that creature. Behind that horrible figure of the monster is an innocent childs mind. When the creature was born, it was innocent and harmless. Regardless to his rejection by Frankenstein, he still seeks companionship with humans. At first his only aim was to be accepted by society but it turned out to be a total failure. Firstly the creature was only seeking companionship from the human, but everyone (except Mr. de lacey) he approached fled away from him. The monsters second desire was to have a female mate from Frankenstein, but this desire could also not be fulfilled as Frankenstein destroyed it .He was rejected by most of the people he met, the creature sought a mate from Frankenstein but at the end it was destroyed. Still I desired love and fellowship At the end the monster was still lonely and isolated as he was at the beginning. We learn that his final desire was to have an anonymous death; leaving no traces of his existence. He realizes and understands that he cannot form part of the human society because of his hideousness even thought he is at time gentle and caring. The innocent creature turned into this cruel monster because humans were very prejudice. Prejudice comes about not because of the fear of the unknown, but rather of a misperception of how the unknown will affect an individual or society.

code of ethics :: essays research papers

What I have experienced over my 43 years of living, both personally and professionally, forms my thoughts, beliefs and feelings and therefore drives what I can call my personal code of ethics. The following briefly describes the core ideals that I maintain:  ·Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Honesty – I firmly believe that honesty is the best policy. It will have to be an extreme situation that involves serious injury, damage or other loss that will convince me that not being truthful is best. I realize that the truth can often be very painful, can cause anger, distrust and hatred but I feel that if I have been truthful and given someone all of the information, they will possibly hold me in a higher regard. This honesty will hopefully allow a greater trust between us and future dealings will be less likely to be strained.  ·Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Legal – I am a person that follows the laws of the land. I feel that it is wrong to steal, cheat, lie or mislead with the intent to make a personal gain. I strive to be a law-abiding citizen. I work in the pharmaceutical industry. The FDA code of regulations requires this industry to be very stringent in all that we do in the development and manufacture of drug products. This includes drug products for food and companion animals. Many times during the manufacturing process, conditions arise that would possibly render a product or process unsanitary or contaminated. Failing to stop a process and correct this type of situation is considered a federal offense and is a violation of the law that is punishable by jail. We have been trained to treat these conditions very seriously and follow regulations at all times. If we do not it is possible that someone could lose his or her life.  ·Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Empathy – When dealing with people and making decisions, I try to be empathetic and consider a person’s feelings and the effect my decisions could make on them and how they feel. I do not feel that it is acceptable for me to be responsible for anyone feeling badly.

A Personal Strength Essay

Being able to recognize our own strengths and weaknesses can help us become better individuals in anything we choose to do, whether it is our positive abilities and skills that can help achieve our goals or negative personal areas that need improvement. Knowing yourself and what you can do, can help you recognize and overcome your weaknesses. My greatest strength is my ability to be a well-organized individual. I tend to write down what I have to do on paper and prioritize what is most important to least important. Doing so helps me organize and accomplish my work and meet deadlines that are important. In this process, I am also able to foresee potential mistakes and clarify them upfront. This approach has not only helped me meet deadlines but has also provided me with the confidence that all loose ends are tied off. One personal strength I have is, I am a very positive amicable person. I try to focus on the bright side of things in all situations, I like giving people compliments an d encouraging them to do well. I love meeting new people every day, and getting involved with new people. Whether it be work or school related. I enjoy speaking, listening, and giving input to my peers and family members. I want them to be aware that they can count on me to participate as a team member in anything we do together. Good people skills are very important in a group setting because of the interaction you must have with one another to communicate effectively. I love socializing and making new friends. Also I am a great leader, I love stepping up and setting an example. Being social and positive has contributed to my leadership ability, making it a great combination for someone in a leadership role. Having leadership qualities is a great thing to have and can really change Society for the better. It can make people want to follow the example you set, just as long as that example is a positive good one!

In Literature, an epic is defined as a long poem, in which there are one or more heroes. The hero in the epics typically possesses god-like powers that allows for them to stand out in the midst of peculiar paranormal. As stated in unit one textual handout, the hero in an epic more than likely will have the fate of the entire nation, or human race depending on them to save their life or their offspring’s lives. An epic usually takes place in a vast geographic setting covering multiple cultures. There are also stylistic elements that are often present in the epic. For example, the style of writing is elevated and even often ceremonial and is sustained in tone and language throughout the narrative. In addition, the epic often begins with a prayer or an invocation to the Muse for inspiration in telling the story. The word inspired has different meanings in different cultures. In addition to these mentioned characteristics, most epic poems conventions have common themes. For exampl e, epics are â€Å"in medias res†, In Medias Res is Latin for it begins in the middle of things. Specifically, in Iliad, for example, the tale begins after the war between Greece and the forces of the walled city of Troy has been on going for approximately ten years.
